Just some Woofstock 2014 pictures I snapped up that I thought were too cute not to share!
A few weekends ago, we brought our four year old sheltie, Mocha, to the annual Woofstock that takes place at the St Lawrence Market. Woofstock is a festival that brings dog owners and vendors together to introduce new pet products and offer fun activities for you and your canine.
Mocha hardly gets the chance to interact with other dogs so it was fun watching him get excited at every turn. He was busy smelling lots of doggie butts! As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a variety of breeds, all of different shapes and sizes. Some were dressed up, others were in carriages but most were just there to enjoy the nice weather and company.
Below is Mocha playing with a friendly Shiba dog.
Lined up along the streets were vendors handing out free food, toys, and pet product samples. These aren’t your regular grocer or Petsmart products. Most of the food were human grade and vendors tended to be small family owned businesses. Some of Mocha’s favourites were the dried sweet potato wrapped in duck liver and pig ears. A real eye catcher was Bosco and Roxy’s booth! Their treats were decorated like baked goods so real that we even wanted a bite. We ended up getting Mocha a little “chocolate” donut. It’s safe to say, Mocha gained a few pounds that day.
We also wanted to check out the free grooming service offered by Kijiji and the photo booth but the lines were just too long. Oh well, maybe next year. Overall, it was an afternoon well spent! To learn more, visit the Woofstock webpage.
A happy camper :)!
